Leaving Rethymno, crossing Crete from north to south, the road takes you to the
Monastery of St. John The Theologian. Preveli houses one of the most important relics of
the island : the Holy Cross .
Adter that we take a quick a drive to Preveli palm beach, where
we will stay for 2.5 hours,for a swim in the crystal-clear waters of the Libyan Sea and a walk
in the palm forest.
The road landscapes are constantly changes, and suddenly you will see the Kourtaliotiko
valley, bewitching beauty of wildlife, as well as in the depths of the gorge you will see a small
waterfall and mountain stream and the church of St. Nicholas.
We continue with a visit to the village of Spili, with his 25 lion head fontains. They say this
water rejuvenates and brings happiness.Don’t forget to take a walk through the village and
taste the most delicious yogurt in Crete
